Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals, including Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. She was awarded an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in the Play to play Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director, has spent the majority of her career working with famous directors and actors both in film and on television. Ashford is next seen opposite Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. This film is part of a Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford will return in 2023, and will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will direct the production. Ashford played Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the scandal which was involving Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the nation crisis. Ashford was a part of two seasons on the CBS successful comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway credits. She was born and grew up in Denver Ashford now splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.
