Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by American citizens of all races. It was in her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence after being highly praised during an audition. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed her goals in the future. In the year 22 she graduated at the Julliard School of New York. When she was 23, she made her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. Her most memorable break came from the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway version of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. In the year following, she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. In addition to being a popular singer, she also released her own solo album as well as an extended version. In her role as an activist, she is a tireless advocate in the cause of LGBT equality.
